Scheduled ancient monument
We restored St. Mary’s old church, a scheduled ancient monument, in 2014 for visitors to climb the medieval spiral staircase up the tower and enjoy the excellent views of the Greensand Ridge.
To book a Tower Tour contact us on 07935 911207 or email info@ClophillHeritage.org or click on Book a Tower Tour
We created five eco lodges in a woodland setting adjacent to the scheduled ancient monument. Four of the five lodges provide family-friendly accommodation and the fifth contains an activity room, breakfast area and and kitchen. The lodges are laid out in a horseshoe shape providing privacy on the balconies to the rear and communal living and socialising space in the centre. There are stunning views in both directions.
Each eco lodge can accommodate four people and is split into two separate sleeping quarters with an adjoining shower room and W.C. making it perfect for families, couples, groups or singles.

Activities and events
We have many educational activities, events and leisure opportunities that can be booked, we also have a number of events throughout the year, to find out more see our Events Calendar
Our eco lodges provide ideal family living in a private lodge with a double bedroom and an adjoining room for the children, separated by a shower room. We also have many fun activities for the children which the grown ups can chose to join or you can continue relaxing. We have many activities which you can book, from bush skills, archaeology digs and bug hunts to tower tours and eco passport trails.
We have just launched our disabled friendly lodge with fully equipped wet room and large bedroom with adjoining room for a carer or friends and family.
There is disabled parking directly outside the lodge with wheelchair friendly access onto the private balcony as well as to the Nest communal room (also with DDA toilet facilities).
Dogs love it at the eco lodges. We have tons of walks straight from the door, suitable flooring as well as water bowls and blankets. We only ask that you follow the normal restrictions of making sure your dog is under control and respecting other guests. Your pooch can come into the Nest at breakfast time and can stay in your room.
Our warden has 2 cats and we have wildlife wandering around the site (deer, squirrels, foxes) so we ask that you are responsible. We have a relaxed attitude with dogs and they can wander around so long as you do clean up after them.
Our local pub, the Stone Jug, is famous for their dog hospitality as well as their real ale.
We also have a local pooch parlour to DIY wash your dog or get it groomed, lots of dog equipment as well as the Paws4Play dog day care.
There are several dog friendly attractions nearby like Historic England Wrest Park outside café and play area, Woburn Deer Park, Barton Springs and Stotfold Mill Nature Reserve.
Dogs stay for free so long as they are accompanied by well behaved owners!
We ask that you don’t leave your dog in your room unattended as we would like them to enjoy their stay as much as you. We do have day care centres nearby as well as dog walking facilities locally.
